Happy Sunday everyone!
Who doesn't love some football on Sunday? I am pretty sad that it is almost over. I wanted to make a Superbowl unit but I was feeling pretty uninspired until I sat down yesterday. Then it just all came together. I didn't realize how many great football picture books there are. I added the Manning brother books to my list of books to possibly read with the blank story map but I didn't read great reviews on-line so I decided not to do a reader response to that book. I made a blank on in case you know of one that is not on the list! Also, I added cheerleader pages to some of the activities because I figured the girls might not be in to the football player. At least they have the element of choice. Who knows...maybe some of the boys would prefer the cheerleader...haha. You never know with Kindergarteners!

ReplyDeleteI love this unit! I have been searching for a Super Bowl themed unit that is age-appropriate, but most of the ones I find are for older kiddos. Thanks for this!

I love this unit because it has the ability to really get my boys involved. There is so much out there that is cute and frilly for the girls and the poor boys just have to go with it. :)
